These limitations of liability apply even if UNIDO has been expressly advised of the potential loss.

As a condition of use of this Site, the User agrees to indemnify UNIDO and its affiliates from and against any and all actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of the User's use of this Site, including, without limitation, any claims alleging facts that if true would constitute a breach by the User of these Terms and Conditions. If the User is dissatisfied with any Material on this Site or with any of its Terms and Conditions of Use, the User's sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the Site.

This Site may contain links and references to third-party web sites. The linked sites are not under the control of UNIDO, and UNIDO is not responsible for the content of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. UNIDO provides these links only as a convenience, and the inclusion of a link or reference does not imply the endorsement of the linked site by UNIDO.

If this Site contains bulletin boards, chat rooms, access to mailing lists or other message or communication facilities (collectively, "Forums"), the User agrees to use the Forums only to send and receive messages and materials that are proper and related to the particular Forum.

In order to access certain portions and features of the Site, you may have to create a “username” and complete an account registration process. If you do so, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Site's registration forms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and username, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or username. Please immediately notify UNIDO of any unauthorized use of your password or username or any other breach of security.

By way of example and not as a limitation, the User agrees that when using a Forum, he or she shall not do any of the following:

(e) Delete any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels in any file that is uploaded;

UNIDO reserves the right to remove, for any reason and without notice, any content of the Forums received from Users, including, without limitation, e-mail and bulletin board postings.

Application Program Interfaces

UNIDO Application Programming Interfaces (“APIs”) are tools that allow you to retrieve and use certain Materials. UNIDO APIs enable retrieval of various Materials, grouped generally into calls to retrieve Materials found on the Site. For use of the APIs in connection with some of the Materials (such as Datasets listed in UNIDO), UNIDO has specific terms of use, all of which are hereby incorporated by reference. Those specific terms of use are available on the pages through which the relevant Materials are accessible. For use of the APIs in connection with other Materials, you may use the APIs to facilitate non-commercial uses of the Materials, but you may not use the APIs to facilitate commercial uses of the Materials, including without limitation reselling them, charging to access them, charging to redistribute them, or charging to create derivative works based on them. UNIDO may release updated versions of the APIs at its sole discretion. New versions may not be compatible with previous implementations, and you agree to use the most recently updated version. You agree not to modify, distribute, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any portion of the APIs or any software of UNIDO. You may not use the APIs in a manner that exceeds reasonable request volume or constitutes excessive or abusive usage, as determined by UNIDO at its sole discretion. You may not use the APIs in a manner that is unlawful or that harms UNIDO, its service providers, its content providers, or any other person, as determined by UNIDO at its sole discretion. UNIDO may monitor your use of the APIs. You may not use any technical means to interfere with such monitoring, and we may use technical means to overcome any such interference. You agree not to facilitate access to Materials by using our APIs without entering into binding agreements with users of the Materials which limit use of the Materials in a manner that is consistent with these Terms and Conditions.

Please contact UNIDO with any questions regarding the APIs.
